Simulation and modelling
We build engineering models that answer a design question before you build: control systems, signal chains and physical behaviour.
What we work on
- First-principles derivations and numerical methods.
- Models in Python or GNU Octave, or in MATLAB and Simulink on your licence, including control-system design and tuning.
- Multiphysics in Elmer FEM or OpenFOAM, or in COMSOL and ANSYS where you provide the licence, and SPICE for circuits.
Platforms and tools
- Python (SciPy, python-control)
- GNU Octave
- Elmer FEM
- OpenFOAM
- ngspice
- MATLAB, Simulink, COMSOL or ANSYS on your licence
Each project has a fixed price, quoted in writing after the scoping call. Typical ranges are below.
How a study runs
Question
The decision the model has to inform, stated up front.
Model
Equations, assumptions and parameters written down.
Check
Results compared against hand calculations or known cases.
Explore
Different values and scenarios tried, as the decision needs.
Report
Model files and findings in plain language.
Ways to work with us
Simulation and modelling study
A model that answers your design question, checked against hand calculations or known cases.
You get: model files and a written report.
Typical length 1 to 4 weeksTypical price $500 to $3,000
Questions
What do I need to provide?
The question, any drawings or data you have, and the decision the results will feed.
Do you use MATLAB, COMSOL or ANSYS?
We use Python and open-source solvers by default. If your team works in MATLAB, Simulink, COMSOL or ANSYS, we work on your licence so the files stay compatible with your tools.
Start with a scoping call
Tell us what you’re building and where it’s stuck.
A 30-minute video call with the engineer who leads the work. It costs $50, which comes off the project price if you go ahead. Afterwards you get a written scope and a fixed price. Or email hello@syprion.com.
