Digital design and verification

We write and verify RTL in Verilog and SystemVerilog, and take small digital designs through an open-source RTL-to-GDSII flow.

What we work on

  • Peripherals, bus interconnects, accelerators and controllers in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Testbenches in cocotb and SystemVerilog, assertions and formal properties, coverage, and regressions that run in continuous integration.
  • Hardening small designs with LibreLane and OpenROAD for multi-project wafer runs, through DRC, LVS and precheck.

Processes and tools

  • Verilog
  • SystemVerilog
  • UVM
  • cocotb
  • Verilator
  • Icarus Verilog
  • Yosys
  • OpenROAD
  • LibreLane

Each project has a fixed price, quoted in writing after the scoping call. Typical ranges are below.

How we verify RTL

  1. Verification plan

The features to prove, listed before any test is written.

  2. Testbench

cocotb or SystemVerilog, with checkers and a reference model where it helps.

  3. Assertions

SVA properties for the rules that must always hold.

  4. Coverage and regression

Coverage measured, tests run on every change.

  5. Report

What passed, what failed, and the bugs found.

Ways to work with us

  • Digital verification sprint

Testbenches for an RTL block in cocotb or SystemVerilog, with coverage and a regression that runs in continuous integration.

You get: testbench code, a coverage report and a list of the bugs found.

Typical length 2 to 5 weeksTypical price $600 to $3,000

  • Tape-out support for small designs

Hardening a design for a multi-project wafer run: synthesis, place and route, DRC and LVS fixes, and passing precheck.

You get: a clean GDS and a short report of what was changed.

Typical length 2 to 4 weeksTypical price $800 to $3,000

Questions

Do you use UVM?

Where your project already uses it. For new block-level work we often recommend cocotb, which is quicker to set up and easy to run in CI.

Can you prepare my design for a multi-project wafer run?

Yes. We harden it and get it through the run’s precheck. Slots and dates are set by the run’s organiser.

Start with a scoping call

Tell us what you’re building and where it’s stuck.

A 30-minute video call with the engineer who leads the work. It costs $50, which comes off the project price if you go ahead. Afterwards you get a written scope and a fixed price. Or email hello@syprion.com.
