An engineering studio for chips, boards and models

Syprion Labs designs and verifies integrated circuits on open PDKs, and builds embedded systems and engineering models, for teams that need the work done properly and documented.

Kelvin Olonade

Founder and principal engineer

Kelvin designs mixed-signal and digital circuits on open PDKs, and has industry experience in embedded systems and in deploying edge AI on hardware accelerators. He holds the Zero to ASIC certification.

He studies electrical and electronics engineering at the University of Lagos.

Kelvin scopes every project, leads the design and stays your contact to the end. On larger projects, engineers from our network take on parts of the work under the same NDA and IP terms, and he reviews everything before it reaches you.

How we work

We show the evidence
Results come with the simulation, waveform or test log behind them.
We document the work
Deliverables include the notes another engineer needs to pick the work up.
We quote before we start
A fixed price, in writing, before any work starts. Changes are priced and approved before they’re made.
We use open tools
Our chip work uses open PDKs and open-source tools, so you’re never locked into our licences. We publish designs only where the client allows it.

Where we work

Work happens remotely from Lagos, for clients in Nigeria and abroad. Meetings in Lagos can be arranged, and hardware is shipped or handed over in person.

Training and the engineer network

We’re preparing mentorship and training in chip design and hardware engineering. Engineers can also join the network we draw on for larger projects.

Start with a scoping call

Tell us what you’re building and where it’s stuck.

A 30-minute video call with the engineer who leads the work. It costs $50, which comes off the project price if you go ahead. Afterwards you get a written scope and a fixed price. Or email hello@syprion.com.
